Reid McGill is one of a growing number of financial planning businesses that have decided that it is important to be self licensed and capable of providing advice without the influence of an institutional owner. 

This results in our advice being objective with a focus on developing client strategies and solutions to help them meet their goals..

We are based in northern New South Wales and have offices in Tweed Heads and Varsity Lakes and have been in business for over 10 years. 

As a business, our goal is to build long term relationships with our clients to assist them throughout their lives. With an emphasis on service and maintaining a close understanding of every client's unique situation, goals and dreams, we have limited ourselves to a maximum of 60 clients.

Presently the business looks after 58 families, who live throughout Australia as well as some clients now living overseas.

Scott holds a Diploma in Financial Planning (Deakin University) and is a Fellow Chartered Financial Practitioner (FChFP). He is a member of the Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA)  and upholds their Code of Ethical and Professional Standards. 

Additionally, Scott is the Director and a Responsible Manager of New World Advisers Group Pty Ltd. New World Advisers Group holds its own Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL Number 428451). 

Scott started in Financial Planning in 1998 with Zurich Australia before moving on to work with other companies including NRMA Financial Planning and Fitzpatrick Private Wealth before starting his own Financial Planning business in 2004. 

Prior to 1998 Scott worked at the National Australia Bank’s Financial Markets Division for 18 years. He held various roles trading bonds, currencies, futures and other financial market products. 

Scott has previously been the Chairman of the Australian Financial Markets Association’s (AFMA) Debt Securities Committee as well as the Chairman of their Cash Committee.  

Jodie has worked in the Financial Services industry for over 20 years.

She has completed a Cert IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping and is highly organised and provides our clients with great support.

Jodie also manages the day to day running of Reid McGill and New World Advisers Group as well as being a bench official for Netball Australia and volunteering at various sporting functions including the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
